We love a good mood board. But what we love even more is a styled shoot in which our mood board comes to life! While our Greenhouse will see completion soon, it was a total dream to see our vision come to life for a couple of days!

The pièce de résistance standing 16 feet tall! The custom back bar will see its own mural and chandeliers when completed. It is so good, friends!

Footings are being set! Imagine signature cocktails under the stars while being serenaded by crickets and live music.

We are thrilled to honor Oerther’s heritage as Marshall’s go to location for plant and garden needs! We have a variety of seeds available for purchase at our Retail space.

Under all that persimmon lumber, this stunning multi-colored brick was just waiting for her big debut! Every step we make towards welcoming our first guests continues to excite us as we watch this dream come true! Can you envision black, multi-paned black french doors with surrounding transoms where the cinderblock currently resides?

And then the rains came! As we suspected, the brick behind our persimmon wall was in great need of repair which made our design easy. The wood on the walls would need to come down. Insulated by a dumpster full of horse hair, both an economical and efficient way to retain heat used at the turn of the 20th century, we’re getting our first glimpses of what will be our 4th wall inside The Millhaven. And we are completely smitten!

We have conflicting opinions on our persimmon wall. Do we take the risk and tear all the wood down? What if the brick behind leaves much to be desired? Do we install new lumber in its place? Do we get our elbows dirty and go to town with a wire brush on the existing paint, opting for the distressed look?
