At The Millhaven, we had the honor of hosting our very first Choose Marshall council meeting. It was an opportunity that we knew held the promise of nurturing new relationships and fortifying our community's spirit. We were not only introduced to community leaders but also harnessed a collaborative spirit that promises a bright future for Marshall. We all left with a renewed sense of purpose, eager to roll up our sleeves and get to work. Here's to many more meetings, stories, and collaborative efforts as we shape the future of Marshall together!

The sweetest vision is the one where you walk blindly through obstacles and impossibilities with only trust and faith to guide you, then experience the moment when you are finally able to open your eyes and see what was meant for you all along. Our pride and joy, we see a little of ourselves within her walls. A soul that has been tired and weary. One that experienced long, dark nights. Desolation. Then without warning, her soul springs back to life and begins to flourish. Old markings remain on the walls to tell of a life once lived, lessons learned. But new light has entered and those markings are now only a memory that disappear into dark corners. Laughter now echoes and fills every inch. Oh, the memories that will be created in this new book!

Marshall, you knocked our socks off this evening! Shrouded in the haze from the Canadian wildfires, you descended on our little corner of town and matched our excitement over the possibilities that lie ahead! During our first Tasty Tues, all five food trucks ran out of food, kids and adults alike enjoyed the simplicity of lawn games and conversation while live music was present in every corner of the property. We watched our dream come to life. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

We have been hard at work around here tying up all the loose ends to ensure that everything is ready to welcome members of the Marshall Chamber of Commerce for our ribbon cutting ceremony! We are proud to show the community the transformation that’s happened in our little corner of the world. We can’t wait to show you, too!

We were so excited to give The Millhaven it’s first trial run with a small group of friends and family from the community who believe in our little passion project! Jenn took a few minutes to share her heart on what brought her to The Millhaven and how the town of Marshall won her over. With the first event under our belt, we are thrilled to begin a season of gathering! Hold on, friends! It’s going to be good!

These fascinating, twisted little beauties are bringing us all so much joy this spring! Did you know that parrot tulips, found in our garden, are children of the nuclear age in the 1970s? Growers used to apply radiation to their fields to mutate Holland’s best beyond recognition! Obviously, we’re a little wiser now and growers can propagate them using less dramatic techniques.

The chill has us all still donning our down jackets but the tulips don’t seem to mind! Outside the She-Shed, these gorgeous blooms are filling our whole sun with warmth!

The She-Shed has become a favorite hideaway at our sister property, Greencrest Manor. With the development of The Millhaven, we knew we wanted to create this little haven in the middle of the garden for our bridal parties for hair and makeup or simply provide a quiet retreat to take a breath and soak in all the excitement of the day!

Our first set of custom crafted french doors have gone in! And we are completely smitten!
